Phoenix Comic Con Attendance
The Phoenix Comic Convention posted their attendance numbers and there were 13,988 attendees. That was double their numbers for 2009. Information for Exhibitors, Small Press, and Artist's Alley is already posted on their site. Membership information will be posted after July 4, 2010. I believe they will have even bigger numbers for 2011. The CCAS is planning to purchase a corner booth make space available to other Christian publishers who may want to attend. Sounds great look forward to the numbers, will you be taking any extra titles to San Diego??? Also I would love not only to be there for Phoenix 2011 but would like to donate monetarily to the cause.

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011
In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.
Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”
