A Network of Christian Fellowship for Comics Fans, Pros, and Amateurs
HollywoodJesus.com is a part of our FrontGate Media group. I've known the Senior Editor there for several years and have appreciated their spin on the pop-culture world.
HollywoodJesus.com covers ALL of pop-culture entertainment from a Christian worldview. Their editorial categories include movies/dvds, books, comics, music, tv, games, sports, and more.
We were recently able to work out a partnership for CCAS with HJ in the form of a brand new news feed on the CCAS home page. :)
To celebrate the new collaboration, HollywoodJesus is offering a MASSIVE DISCOUNT during October and November ONLY FOR CCAS MEMBERS who want to advertise their comics projects.
HollywoodJesus recently debuted new TARGETED ADs that run ONLY IN CERTAIN CHANNELS on their web site. One of those channels is the COMICS channel.
The COMICS targeted ads run for 50,000 views normally at $375. During October and November 2011, CCAS members can book these ads to run anytime now or in the future for only $275, a $100 discount!
Please contact me if you are interested.
For more general info about HJ, see the HJ Media Kit on FrontGate Media.
For larger ad campaigns, we can connect you to comics readers through HollywoodJesus, HM Magazine, Cornerstone, NewReleaseTuesday's Authors program, ReadItFirst/HearItFirst and more. We done extensive work for the Action Bible, Rob Liefeld's Armageddon Now, the Serenity series, and most of the comics and graphic novels put out by Thomas Nelson and Zondervan.

HI Joe,
The site as a whole yields about 700,000 ad views per month from 90,000 uniques and 250,000 page views per month.
It can be the 300x600 or the 300x250 ad size which is in the content area. Those are both in pixels. They are on the right side of the Comics channel pages. For example, see http://live.hollywoodjesus.com/?p=8818.
You might hit refresh if you don’t immediately see a 300x600 ad size there. They rotate around a bit. Personally, I'd do the 300x600.
Comment by Joe Chiappetta on October 18, 2011 at 3:59pm The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011
In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.
Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”
Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years! We have about five openings right now! Contact Eric Jansen for more info! (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members. Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
Your current Board of Directors includes Eric Jansen (Secretary,) and Kevin Yong (Treasurer.) Both have served as President of the L.A. CCAS chapter. Kevin is also the Assistant Central Mailer for ALPHA-OMEGA. Also on the Board are Scott A. Shuford (Vice President) and Geoff Strout (Webmaster.)
