From Jesus Translated: Steampunked- The first panel is one of my favorites that I Illustrated in the comic book. All I did was take a space pic off of yahoo images and use photoshop. This scene is after the page where Jesus is thinking about his disciples deserting him. Jesus is on the cross and he suddenly sees God in outer space.
At first, it was just going to be the night sky. but then I thought when someone is in a lot of physical pain, the spiritual man has the tendency to take over more. Like when you fast, you are denying your flesh for the spiritual part of you to be more in control.
So I figured Jesus could suddenly see God in the "second heaven" in outer space. Also it looks cooler than a night sky.

Very powerful image Mel. If Hell is where God isn't, then Jesus has been there. What a sacrifice!
