My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I've been a Christian for over 14 years. I grew up as a missionary kid in Mexico and for the longest time that was my life. When I started going to High School I moved back to the States where I started focusing on other things and little by little I withdrew from God.
But God drew me back to Him and now I'm focusing on being an artist only for Him. Since then I've started on my own webcomic called 'The Sparrow Cafe' based on my life growing up in Mexico. With a little bit more flair.
I've also been visiting different Churches around the country talking about my life as a missionary kid and as a sequential artist. These are experiences that I love very, very much!
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
I would love to be a full-time comic maker plus a writer and continue speaking in Churches!

Also a stand-up comedian. I have a pretty good sense of humor.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Too many to list!

Goodness, how long has it been THIS time?? Looks like about two years!

I'm so sorry about that! But let me list off everything that I've been working on since then!

  • God has been blessing me so much especially in my art work! I've been working on my web comic The Sparrow Cafe which is about a teenage american girl living in Mexico as a missionary kid.
  • Because of that I've been featured in …

I've been away for a while now

Oops I've been out for a while. Sorry! But I have very good reasons I swear!

I've been working on my comic, which will return in September. I've been taking a hiatus for way too long. Lots of drama, lots of falling back on God.

Also I've been working on a podcast with! We've only recorded two episodes so far but its been fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnn. lol

Oh and I graduated from university as a bonafide…

Even though its a month away, I decided to go ahead and do some (needed) spring cleaning, which is a good and bad thing. Good, because I've been meaning to clean my room for a while now. Bad because I'm an expert procrastinator and even though I told myself this morning that I'll start exactly at 11am and finish at 10.30 so I can sleep well for once in a long time, I ended up starting at 2pm and haven't really 'finished'.

I started off with moving my bed from my room and currently… Continue

Hi Alison, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+) please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pray on pledging to support this project...

Hey, Alison! Thanks for the note. Yes, I remember talking to the manager in there late last year. I also talked with the corporate office about stocking the book, but since it is an independent print-on-demand book, the price point just wasn't low enough. But I'm still plugging away! Hope you are encouraged in God's grace and may God bless your endeavors. -Bryce

Welcome to the CCAS. Have you ever had the chance to go to Comic Con in San Diego? The Lord has allowed us to have a table there for the past 12 years. May the Lord bless you in the work that you do for Him in Mexico. You should post some of your work on this site. This is a great place to meet other brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
