Hey Momma my bad for not getting back at you.  I've been good.  Haven't touched the music in a while, but it's on my schedule in the next few months.  The album is almost done I just have to record one more verse and rerecord a verse that I can make better.  I've been working on a children's book for a writer who was in dire need of an illustrator. The story is very powerful, and it deals with children and autism. I just  finished it a few days ago so now it's on it's way to print. Can't wait to hear from you, if it's in a couple of months that's cool.  I think that's how we do. LOL.  Later.

I just spent the last 5 hours reading the entire first vo. of shelter of wings and th first few pgs of vol 2 and I have to say it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! Wondrful artwork, story & pg flow, very insirational & I couldn't stop laughing at Toby! The angel that holds he cup of tears ade my eyes water up-bravo & may God bless you so much that yo're using you're talents for him. As I read this I couldn't help but feel as if the manga was specifically for me-it spoke to my spirit about a lot and has answered some questions I've had for awhile to which I wondered why God had been silent on. Thank you for being a willing vessel to further His kingdom!!

Just got your comic today, and something about it makes me sublimely happy.  I was thinking about what you've done, and how you are trying to reach a different generation with graphic novels.  I also love how it's filled with God's word.  I'm trying to figure out the right way to tell a story that gives the glory to God. Unfortunately I haven't gotten past the character designs at the moment...  It's like they're shy or something.  But, any way I think it's awesome what you are doing.  <3  I hope there is more, and I hope I can accomplish what you have.  Just awesome.

Hi Lisa, hopefully by the end of this weekend I will have some stuff posted on here.  I'm truly just beginning my journey into the art of sequential narration,  right now I'm working on character designs.

Lisa - thanks for connecting. Would you ever be willing to speak to my students about your work over Skype? We like to get a different inspirational speaker each week on Thursday mornings (Thai time) for about half an hour.

Hi Lisa,  Thank you for writing back to me so soon.  I started thinking up the story idea I posted about 10 years ago and since have tried to refine the characters and events.  Personally I think it would make a really cool graphic novel but I don't draw that well or have the time to put to it, which is a real bummer.  But I was thinking if some one liked it and wanted to make it a comic book I could give them the full story, actually there's three stories in my head, that's why it's called "Elorian Chronicles".  I'd really like to hear back from you and hear what you think.

Thanks and God bless.><>

Emily.

Dear Lisa Hutchinson,

I just wanted to say that your art work is truly amazing.  I really like your style of drawing and incorporating a Biblical theme to it.

God bless.><>

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”
