For any who weren't aware (most of you), I have had a business going for the last 3 years or so - between my day job, my personal life crisises and multiple health issues, not much business has actually occurred...

But I've decided to get serious this year, and one of the FIRST things i need is a LOGO for business cards, banners, etc.. The purpose of this message is to encourage submissions, to be subjectively reviewed by myself and a few trusted advisors, for visual… Continue

HI George,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

At Your Service,

Scott A. Shuford
CCAS Board Member 2008-2010

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

Hi George,

I happened to see your confirmation of friendship with John Pierce and had to drop a line. Marty Oakley talks of highly and it seems you and I share the blessing of botched hernia mesh repair surgery! Yours is much worse and am continuing to lift you up in prayer.

God bless,
Jimmy Stewart

PS: Hope you won't hold my association with Marty against me (Ha!!)

Hello George,
I'm praying for you daily. Will you blog a bit how you are doing right now? Or email me?

God bless you,

Hey George - You've been added! Hope you're holding up in Chi-town. I haven't been that way since August, but you never know when I'll float there again.

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
