Profile Information

Emporia, KS
Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:
penciling, inking, oil-based pastel coloring,
storyboards, dialogue,plotting, one-sheets
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
Wow, uhh, where do i start?! What He's done for me
could be a book in itself! He's brought me out of so much muck & mire, so many times.
My wife and i have been leading worship at a little place called Shiloh Home of Hope for about 3yrs now, from just after He healed me of alcoholism. Years before that He brought us each out of the dope game (not cannabis, REAL DOPE) before we ever met, and our individual stories gave us common ground.
We have struggled in our marriage at many points and He has been so faithful to grow us and keep us together, now we serve in ministry, with our 4 kids.

I've always loved comics and rock music, well, lots of different music, but rocking is my fave. Now i'm finally putting my giftings to His service and creating what i earnestly hope and believe will become the most butt-kicking Christian sci-fi movie ever.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
doing one-sheets and covers, or just illustrating
action heroes without unrealistic deadlines
Favorite Comic Creators:
Nate Celestri of course, just cuz. Tex, Sam Kieth,
Mcfarlane, Michelenie, Bart Sears, Hogarth, Wrightson, Jim Lee,
Quitely, Jai Lee for sure, Bisley, Jusko, Patelis,
Taggart, Miller- the list goes on, i was a fanboy

playing with some color concepts i been wanting to get around to;

those hi-lite shapes are placeholders, obviously. there's no way i'd ever finish the story if i were to color these with the pen tool,

but i'm not looking to be the colorist either. maybe after i come across some new tools, but i don't think i'll ever switch completely to digi. might play with cutting sketch paper and newsprint down to printer size and try some diff media for color on it, but again, i'll never…

Welcome to the club, Cole! Your testimony is both inspiring and warm; a blessing to hear how He has pulled with you through thick and thin. We serve a cool King.;) I'm anticipating to see His skills from a fellow rock enthusiast! May you and your family be blessed.

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!
