Information design, illustration, comics, storyboard, character design, animation and anything that need a visual communication. I'm interested in fantasy, martial arts, vintage and Steampunk.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I found out that God blessed this humble girl with a talent, which is an illustration, and I have dedicated this skill to God, the rightful owner. After I just enrolled BA Information Design course in the University of Pretoria, South Africa, God disciplines me to 'give-up' my self-centered mind so I can lean on Him closer to let Him 'draw/create' through me :)
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Illustrator, comic artist.
Favorite Comic Creators:
I'm not a fan of them but I like Joe Benitez's Lady Mechanica and Joe Mad's illustration.

Hi, everyone!

Hope all of you are good. Some of you who checked my previous post about Kickstarter campaign will know that I'm currently working on a commission for comics called "Life Or Death Saga" with a client called Frank B. Goodin, II. I just finished Issue #2 and I'm planning to finish inking Issue #3 by the end of November.

We are currently looking for a colourist (I used to work on colour but it became quite tough for me these days... So I'm working on…

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I generally love drawing, but sometimes I drive myself crazy by trying to draw a finger in just the right angle. :P

Wow, the fact that the guy is a Christian is just awesome! I am really happy for you. :) Who knows? Maybe he'll keep you on for future comics, or maybe you'll get hired by some big-named Christian organization that desperately needs a talented artist (you never know. :P).

Your commission sounds intriguing (and mysterious, haha). So once this "stylish crime graphic novel" is finished, I shall have to read it. :)

I'm kind of studying. I've been given the rare opportunity to be both the teacher and the student (and I still don't know all the answers!). :P

So, besides the cold weather, how are you doing?

At 2:24pm on April 19, 2013, Candace Nunn said…

Hey, Youmin! All things considered, I'm doing pretty well (my art could be better, though :P ). I'm trying to improve my art a bit more before I upload any more pics.

I'm so happy that you've got a commission! I'm not surprised, though; your artwork is fantastic. :) What kind of comic are you working on?

I hope all is well!
