My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I used to take a sadistic pleasure out of shaking Christians’ faith. I would say, “I don’t believe in God. I don’t go to church, and I don’t pray; yet I’m getting what I want out of life.” Unfortunately, that was true. I got what I wanted but not what I needed. And the closer I got to getting what I wanted the less it meant to me; so, by the time I received it it meant absolutely noth-ing. Life had no meaning.

I remember being in Washington, DC playing my saxophone in my Jazz quartet called “By Any Means Necessary” at Nation House Positive Action Center. I was soloing and the crowd was cheering and all the while I was thinking to myself, “What is the point?”

I eventually reached the point in life where I didn’t care whether I lived or died. But one day I felt these urges and didn’t know what they were. I tried playing my sax. That didn’t satisfy it. Eventually, I thought maybe I should read the bible. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.

I was unemployed. My gas had been cut off, my lights were about to be cut off, but all I could think to do at that point was read the bible, eat and sleep. I did that for one week then got a job. I read the bible from cover to cover once a month for two and a half months.

Then I went to play my sax at my Grandfather’s church called Faith Temple in Omaha, Nebraska, since he had just become a bishop in the church of God in Christ I hadn’t been to a church in 14 years except for events like funerals and weddings. I considered it his happy “bishopship” present.

The choir was singing Lord Let Your Spirit Fall on Me by Shirley Caesar, and the Lord’s spirit fell on me. I yielded my life to God while playing my horn. That was September 22, 1991 at about 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. Since then, my life has been full of purpose, direction and focus.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

Sir, hello there.  If you like drawing, please consider drawing me a 'Raegan and RJ in Space!' picture or sketch, e-mail it to me at, and I will send you $30 by certified mail that day. Go to my web site for ideas. You can do pencil, computer, whatever. The web site is where my trilogy is. The idea we are trying to do is to create a family friendly Christian Science Fiction story without any guns, aliens, or battles.  The excitement comes form the adventures the kids go on.  I will post your artwork in the 'amazing art' section for kids all over the world to enjoy.  It is kind of a 'niche' genre, so if you are not into it no problem. v God bless.  Rich Collins

Hi there, thanks for a friend request! Really appreciate it! One of themes that I cannot do well is caricature. I can see you are really good with it! It's interesting to see how you capture characters' physical appearance well in humorous way :) God bless you with creativity and the life with Him!

Warm greetings CCAS member,

Are you a cartoonist? Are you a cartoonist who would like to join a new greetings card business? If you answer to those questions are yes or perhaps, please read on.

I am seeking a good cartoonist to consider working with me in the creation and branding of my upcoming greetings card business. The main two characters are a donkey (the female) and an ox (the male). My greeting cards are based on the scripture Duet: 22:10 (Don't Plot a donkey and ox together they are unequally yoked). My cards are humorous inscriptures and subtle messages to the unlimited number of incompatible/unequally yoked couples. I the writer/poet compose the inscriptions for the cards and the cartoonist does the illustrations of the cards. I already have created over 100 inscriptures. Would such an innovation would interest you? If not, could you recommend someone?
