Trying to Focus

Posted on February 18, 2010 at 5:51pm 1 Comment

Well I have been doing some thinking about my purpose and what GOD wants me to do in life, sometimes i'm unsure. Others, I fee I have an idea of what i'm supposed to be doing. I feel that story telling is one of them. But just where to start? There are so many things that swim through my mind all the time.

I suppose since I'll be in afghanistan in a month for 6 months I'll have plenty of time to write. I'll be sure to make good use of my time this time around.

Keep me…

Been a long while...

Hey fam,

Its been a long time since I've been on CCAS. I've moved from Alaska and have joined the rest of you back in civilization! LOL

Anyway if anyone has been to my page I had been asking for assistance with finding a good artist to do some collaboration with me one my comic that i wish to put out on the market. The title is still the same, but I've changed a lot of the story line. I'll go into that later.

I'll be posting a lot more and trying to stay in touch with everyone… Continue

Whatup fam!

Alright, the time is now for me. I'm getting the writing scrubbed for the first issue of the Soldier of the Throne comic universe, but I don't have anything in means of someone to draw everything for me. If anyone has any leads or your an artist a brotha out!

Just about anything.....

Well I decided to start a blog....about what? I'm not sure exactly. I've seen they can be a great tool, so its whatever. LOL :-)

So right now, I'm working on paperwork to sell our condo so we can leave Alaska next year, I'm real excited and so is my wife. We are looking forward to going somewhere new together where we can build our lives somewhere fresh where neither of us have any connection too.

And just in case anyone is wondering the Air Force is sending me and my family to…

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

HI Vincent,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

At Your Service,

Scott A. Shuford
CCAS Board Member 2008-2010

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

Welcome to the CCAS and God bless you in your service to our country. I hope you have a great time of fellowship with us. I've been to Alaska and it is very cold. The Lord bless you and your family.
