Terror in Indiana

Posted on March 8, 2009 at 3:33pm 0 Comments

Some people might be tempted to think that what happened to Mark (in my last message) was an isolated incident or the product of an overactive imagination.

Perhaps. But his experience resembles too many others. Take Bill, for example.

Bill was a student at the Indiana University in the early 1970s when he became involved in a weekly "discussion" group with several friends searching for spiritual truth. At first, they talked about all sorts of things --… Continue

Into the Depths

Posted on March 4, 2009 at 12:18pm 0 Comments

As we begin our search for answers to these questions, let me tell you about a person I read about named Mark.

Like many of us, Mark had much too much to do. He was running as fast as he could, only to find that at the end of each day he was further behind. The stress became so bad he couldn't sleep more than a few hours at night. He lost his appetite. He felt a constant tightness in his chest and a burning sensation in his stomach.

When he told a co-worker how… Continue

Something Strange Is Going Here

"Reach out in the darkness, and you might find a friend."

That's what the old song says to do.

And that's what millions of people are trying to do.

They're reaching into the darkness of the supernatural realm hoping to find "a friend." They're looking for angels. Seeking to contact the dead. Having encounters with beings who claim to be 35,000-year-old spirits. Engaging in automatic writing and other forms of "spirit communication." Conversing… Continue

Believing In The Resurrection

Posted on July 25, 2008 at 10:42pm 1 Comment

Hello everybody! It has been a long time since I have talked with you and stuff. LOL! I have missed you dear members and want to say that I am back. You have no doubt heard of my Graphic Novel: The Overcomers. It ships out in September and was wonderfully designed by the one and only Christina Cheek of Silver Dagger Studios. God has really given her a remarkable talent and in my opinion, the best. Living Word Publications has graciously picked us up and is run by the man in the business, Pastor… Continue

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

HI Howard,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

At Your Service,

Scott A. Shuford
CCAS Board Member 2008-2010

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

Hey there! Thanks for welcoming me into the Christian Comic Artist group - sorry it has been so long to respond. I have started a comic review site "Crab Orchard Comics" to review, promote and create wholesome comic arts for kids. Feel free to check it out and leave any comments you have or any suggestions of comics for me to review (even if it is your own stuff! :))

Hey Howard, when you get a chance can you read these two posts I wrote on my site and provide some feedback? I'm think they're great pieces and I'm trying to get some discussion going while raising my page ranking. Also feel free to forward the posts to others. Thanks.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I like it here! A lot more friendly than MySpace. I've told others that I think this is the Oasis I've been looking for.
