Thanks Stephen! God has been reminding me recently to stay aware of what His has given to me and to avoid the human temptation to claim all the credit for those gifts. I certainly do not want to force His hand so that taking back is the only way He can keep my attention.
That said, I am ever so thankful for the vocational path He set me upon! What an honor to be entrusted with the title ARTIST.
Thank you for taking the time to be an encouragement.
I answer to your question regarding my AltU space guy:
Pencil all the way. After scanning these I play with the contrast and duplicate the layer and set the new layer to multiply. I then use the adjust hue and colors function, selecting the colorize button. I seem to like a bluish cast most of the time. I also sharpen the new layer quite a bit to make the tone crumble a bit for better contrast.
Hello stephen, i appreciate the Kind words. it's always encouraging to know some likes what you do. I've been writing and drawing for as long as I can remember...some 40plus years(shhh!) I love it. It has always been my passion. God gave me the Faith Walker Illustrated ministry 19 years ago this year. (wow) You can follw the exploits of the anoited adventurer @www.newcreationnow.com in the comics section. I'm in the middle of his Graphic Novel and other cool stuff. Well, there is more I'll have write a book. Any way contact me when ever you have time. I'd be interested in seeing your gifts and talents.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
