Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:
I am actually not an artist. I volunteer at a prison ministry and am investigating comic options for an incredibly talented inmate who has already done a couple of comic books and feels God calling him to more. He has no internet access.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and have been following Him for 17 years. I am always striving to be more like Him!
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
I would love to be able to draw but am so bad I have to label my stick figures.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Not sure. I'm very new to this!

Thank you so much Hailey! I really appreciate all the positive response and I know Waverly will as well when I tell him Sunday. I will definitely check into Bob Luedke. Thanks for the tip. I think you have an awesome testimony too. :-)

Welcome to the society! That's awesome what you're doing. A guy I know named Bob Luedke has done some epic comic book tracks of sorts involving fictional (but powerful) testimony stories showing God for who he is, especially to the broken and such. So...that's a thing to look into, if you're interested. Either way, welcome! And good luck. :)

Hello, and welcome to the CCAS webcommunity! I really admire people who are in face to face, person to person ministries, praise God for your faithfulness to His calling! I look forward to hearing from you and Waverly, and will keep you both in my prayers.

Hi Brien! Thank you so much. God has laid several of the inmates on my heart in different ways. It is really nice to be greeted warmly by you! I look forward to seeing all the wonderful things you guys do here. :-)

Welcome to CCAS, Sarah-the-compassionate.  So inspiring for you to give a voice for a hidden believer to express his talent. I hope we can work together for our Lord's glory!

That's a great idea Ralph! I will check with Waverly and see if that would work. Thanks for the thought!

Welcome to the CCAS.  Can the inmate receive mail.  The CCAS has a bi-monthly publication titled Alpha Omega.  It might be a great way for him to correspond with other Christian artists.  If you want more information contact Eric Jansen on this site.  May the Lord richly bless you.

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
