The Official Christian Comic Art Society Page of Salvation Heroes and Captain Salvation®.

Salvation Heroes - "Harvesting Souls...Through God's Super-Heroes!" & Salvation World Outreach - "ACTIVATING Faith In The Next Generation" is a Christian character-based entertainment company and ministry dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our super-heroes. Our strategic approach in spreading the Gospel is to utilize our Super-Hero Resources and Christian Media through: theatrical mascots, live performances, comics, music, curriculum, animation, movies, t.v. shows, games, apparel and much more.

Our mission is "Harvesting Souls...Through God's Super-Heroes!" As we co-labor with Christ, our purpose and vision is to ACTIVATE people of all ages in their faith and works for the advancement of God's Kingdom.

With many more to be revealed, our first super-hero, Captain Salvation® was created as God's animated super-hero whose ultimate mission is to convey the message of salvation and saving grace of Jesus Christ to everyone around the world. The stories and feats of adventure are presented in short contemporary exerts with biblical scriptures and themes to edify, educate, encourage, entertain and equip the body of Christ.

As the Salvation Heroes and Captain Salvation® battle the spiritual forces of worldly darkness, each super-hero serves as a joint heir in the fight to rescue and restore humanity to the knowledge and testimony of knowing Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)

Your current Board of Directors includes Eric Jansen (Secretary,)  and Kevin Yong (Treasurer.)  Both have served as President of the L.A. CCAS chapter.  Kevin is also the Assistant Central Mailer for ALPHA-OMEGA.  Also on the Board are Scott A. Shuford (Vice President) and Geoff Strout (Webmaster.)
