So, I have course signups coming up for the spring semester at my college. I want to take another art class, and one that I hear I should take from a lot of artists (famous and not) is a figure…Continue

The Last Stand

This is a graphite illustration I did for a creative composition assignment. It is based on a story I am writing. I may or may not have stayed up until 2am to complete it :) Totally worth it though.

New Drawing Time

I'll be starting work on a composition in class of my version of a scene from a story. I chose "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. I'll post work soon. :)See More

Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:
I love drawing people, and am an animator-in-progress :) I like to create stories of adventures, heroes, and villains.
When I'm not drawing, chances are I'm probably writing stories that my artwork inspired, or vice versa. I also watch a lot of movies and read books in my spare time.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I grew up in a Christian home, and rededicated myself to God as an adult shortly after I turned 18. Since then it has been a long battle to stand my ground in my faith, and though it has been exhausting some weeks, I am glad I have God to walk with through my trials.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Media plays a big part in our world, and I have found that I don't really want to do just one thing. Stories form the basis for pretty much anything, whether comics, TV series, or movies. So I am honing my craft in writing. Whatever I create, I would love to create companion works for my ideas. Books, comic books, graphic novels, animated shows and movies. They all are so important to me, I guess I'll just have to do them all ;)
Favorite Comic Creators:
I love the original "Spider-Girl" comics by Tom DeFalco and Pat Oliffe. Superheroes have been a big influence on me, mostly Marvel Comics, but also the Justice League and Batman from DC Comics. I also like some manga, such as "Pokemon Adventures" and "Kitchen Princess", as well as some anime, such as "Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple" and "My Hero Academia".

Cartoon Drawings

I am about to go back to figure drawing, as well as a painting class. So, really, I should be reviewing anatomy and things like that. But what I did instead was check out 30 comic book collections from the library and am drawing pictures from there. :) Working with charcoal is a great way to learn anatomy, but after months of it, I really love working with my Prismacolor colored pencils.

Do you have a favorite Kingdom Hearts charactor? I'll look to see if I've drawn them before! My personal favorite is Terra, from Birth by Sleep. They haven't made an arc for that yet. :(

What Manga do you read? I read all of the Kingdom Hearts, Final fantasy: The Ice Reaper, Yotsuba, and any of Akira Himekawa's Zelda books.

I also am sure to fix charactors skirts and shirts with a ball point pen, so my younger siblings can read them.
