Profile Information

What's up with "RabidFrog"? I get the question about our name quite often. So, here's the breakdown. My best friend and co-founder C. Michael Steele and I were searching for a name that was both meaningful and fun. We tried several ideas, but really liked F.R.O.G. (aka: Fully Relying On God), but it wasn't enough. About that time, my cat tore through the office at full speed nearly knocking everything over. Chris said she was crazy and I commented back that she was rabid. The idea hit us and we searched "Rabid" up in the dictionary. The first definition was "Violent". The second was, "A passionate pursuit for a cause". It was perfect! Thus, RabidFrog Productions was born. (Matthew 11:12/1Cor. 9:22)

RabidFrog to be Discontinued...

Posted on May 13, 2008 at 8:01am 4 Comments

Hi Everyone!

This is just a real quick word to pass on some important information. For a few years, RabidFrog has been struggling along trying to pull together good quality Christian oriented comic books with little to no success. Even though my heart has been in the right place, and my soul has been right with the Father, there have been internal issues with the studio. The Word teaches us to not be "unequally yoked". It's easy to assume this relates only to our relationships and… Continue

"733" Issue #1 is for sale

Posted on March 28, 2008 at 8:26am 7 Comments

Hi Guys!

We've finished issue #1 of the "733" miniseries and have test drove it at the Orlando MegaCon earlier this month. We've been in constant communication with the readers and we've gotten a lot of feedback. Some was good, some not so good. But you take the good with the bad. Most of the complaints were on the quality of the publication. Well, that's not really an issue since they are ash-cans printed on a very large laser printer in my garage. We are about to go to print with… Continue

Why Do We Do It?

Posted on December 27, 2007 at 7:54am 2 Comments

For sometime, my group of friends and I have been pursuing an avenue to put faith based comic books on the open secular market. It was our desire to create an alternative that is just as fun and exciting as most non-Christian titles, but ultimately to have a message of hope that would influence the heart of the reader. Somewhere down the line, our pursuit became a vision, our vision became a passion, and ultimately, our passion became an obsession. About six months ago we realized this and…

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

Hi....just a line to ask if anyone is interested in working on a joint production of mine? I have an audio 80 minute story on a Christian super hero character, GOD's champion The Crusader, that I would like to have done in comic book form, or in motion. I will be happy to send interested parties a copy. Advise....

Hey Everybody:

I have been a struggling artist/ writer, trying to get published and now I have begun to realize that goal. My first graphic novel (a novel in comic book/illustrated form) is designed for children and anyone else who has an unlimited imagination. I hope to do glory to God and pray I do not fail him.

It is entitled, "The Improbable Barnsy: A Pocket Full of Teeth" and is Christian themed with a whirl wind adventure about love, redemption, forgiveness, and doing the right thing. The style is cartoonish/fantasy, but touches upon real struggles and triumphs that children and adults face all the time. The hero of the story, Barnsy T. Boxcar, is a 4 foot tall pelican who lives in a world of unlimited possiblities.

Created, written, lettered, drawn, and colored by me, Kurt Lewis, and published by Living Word Publications (LWP). Below is the link to where it can be bought as a hardcopy and as a download. It is being published and sold through by I wanted to share this news with everybody, because it was an eight year journey to get here and it was worth it. Many of you had offered encouragement and advice, and for that I thank you. If you would like to see sample pages, they can be found at the lulu site.

Don't worry, I won't keep bugging folks, just ask that people pass on the fantastic news. I PUBLISHED MY BOOK, AND I HOPE PEOPLE BUY IT AND ENJOY IT.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

What's up Broman! I so glad things are going in another direction for you guys. trials come our way and we do need to grow. I go through it every day. I will pray that the lord bless you in what ever door he opens, and in turn we would bless him first with the work we do for him. Keep up the great commission in your comics. God bless!!! BAP out!!!
