Here it is - my project for the first quarter of 2013. I've tried to format it like a script that I would give an artist (though I'm planning on drawing it myself). Critiques are appreciated. I know…Continue

Bad things happen to everyone. Illness. Job loss. Financial ruin. Sometimes, people we love very much die. Sometimes we don't know if they're saved. Sometimes we're certain they're not.Sometimes, our…Continue

I'm going to have to pretty much pull myself up by my bootstraps here - I'm not too broke for bills and groceries, but I've been too broke for a nice new computer for about eight years. I have a…Continue

Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:
I'm a writer and an artist of speculative fiction and primarily fantasy art. I have a B.A. in English, a few college art credits, and occasionally teach art to 4Hers and private schoolers.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I had been a casual Christian, as was my husband, and our lives were derailing until we didn't think our marriage would work any longer. We had already failed counseling, but I really didn't want us to give up. Then the church we were casually attending held a marriage series called Lord of the Rings, and I could feel God inspiring us both to try again. I called this church and asked for a counseling recommendation and finally we learned to build our marriage on the foundation God had in mind. Our marriage is saved and we are happier together than ever, we've gained so much since we gave our marriage to God! The same approach is working with our finances and our kids, too... Who knew?!
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Ummmm... Probably not in the "industry." Let me see what I can do independently first. My current dream is to finish my current project and see it in print.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Phil and Kaja Foglio, of Girl Genius. And Neil Gaiman. Oh, almost forgot R.M. Hendershot, whose story is MASKS, up at pocketcoyote.com.

I'm trying to be back - the end of last year was pretty overwhelming. The volunteer team I was on for my church was kind of made redundant, and I didn't realize what a huge stabilizing impact it had on my life. Not to mention actually using my writing skills and getting to read the letters people sent in about getting saved and changing their lives was just a huge boost for my self-esteem and it really connected me to people at a time when I was pretty socially isolated. As an introvert, I need… Continue

Podcast interview!

I just wrapped up a podcast with www.thefaithgeek.com and he says they'll post it tomorrow! I'm really excited to share my stories and vision with everyone and so grateful for the opportunity to speak with Brent Whetstone about my passion for comics and the fight against human trafficking.

There's room at my table

I'm registered for the SC Comic Con in March 2015 and MonsterCon in July 2015, and I'll be happy to display posters, flyers, and other printable promo items from CCAS members at my table. Also I will be doing face painting for kids, and I thought that I could offer coloring pages and crayons for kids to do while they wait. This would be a great promo if you have some child-appropriate line art with your website on it that I can print!

Let me know if you're interested :)

Going Live!

I'm piecing together a strategy to reach readers that I hope is more effective than the usual methods, especially since I've chosen to dedicate the first story of my first ten stories to tithe and charities. My biggest frustration is that I don't have money to give to causes I believe in, and this is how I propose to solve that problem.

I intend to begin as I mean to go on, by giving away a free prequel story with a subscription to the free newsletter. The free newsletter is about upcoming… Continue

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

Hi Paula,

Thanks for the e-mail. I don't come here very often because I find it very confusing site to navigate. I'm not even sure I'm leaving this response in the right place.

I have a Facebook page that I mostly frequent. This is where I put up my latest Orange Peel 3 work, and posts.

Thanks for writing,

There's a new song? I got the DVD, but I don't remember there being a new song in it. I have most of the classic Disney movies on VHS still.
I just like Stitch because of his character design (I like sci-fi creatures), his super strength, and his personality.

Hello Paula! Wow, where does the time go? I almost missed the deadline for your Perry Noble giveaway contest. So I made some time this evening and listened to part of the Eve and Adam series 'Are you with the right one?'. I won't get to finish it today but I -love- this guy! Clear illustrations, lots of energy, and a great and Godly attitude. I am going to start watching him regularly I think, he's got the gift of being both informative and entertaining. Thanks for sharing about his ministry!
