Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:
I am a comic creator. My expertise is in writting, and comic/anime style art.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
Well...it all started as a kid like many of you im sure. Ive always dreamed of being some sort of artist. I remember when my goal was to be the first to bring the anime style to western comics. LOL. Now its to bring the word of God to comics. At one point in my life i was stuck when it came to writting and putting together my book. It was as if i lost direction. Then one day i told God that i would completely surrender my dreams to Him and everything changed. Im more ambitious than ive ever been.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
I honestly believe that God has called me to teach the word of God not just through comics, but animation, film and gaming. Im currently putting together a entertainment company and im doing it all by faith cause i know of no other way.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Other than Jesus?...I'd say growing up it was Todd McFarlane. I like Alex Ross too but right now its the guys that do Heroes.

Posted on October 21, 2009 at 12:07pm 2 Comments

The dream starts with a vision to see an entetainment company built on the word of God do what Hollywood will never be able to do. Tell people about Jesus. This company will go out into the world and show off Gods goodness and not just through film and comics but on a much more personal level. The church i belong to,(The Rock Church and World Outreach Center) has influenced me greatly. I live in the Inland Empire of California and we have a saying at my church. "The Inland Empire Shall Be… Continue

Why dont Christians support each other more?

Posted on October 20, 2009 at 12:00pm 11 Comments

My intention for writiing this wasnt to offend anyone. I just have a few things i'd like to express to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. That is if anyone will read this. My question Is...Why dont Christians support each other more? Now in this particular case im speaking about my experience on this site. Ive been a member for quite some time now and have quite a few freinds. Well...freinds in the respect that they have either sent me a friend request or accepted mine. During my time on… Continue

I remember when i first got saved and realized that my giftings were to be used for the building of the body of Christ. I said to myself..."wait a minute! I do comics and if i have to make them about Christians then im going to have a comic about a bunch of wusses!" As you can tell i was pretty upset but that shows you how much i knew about the things of God at the time. Well, its five years later and God has brought me to a place were my dreams go beyond just comics and he's taken me to a… Continue

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!
