I try to look at a darker side of comic art that has a deeper meaning than spandex superheroes.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I grew up in a somewhat Christian family. Me and my family moved from church to church for about 3 years. My dad was a dedicated alcoholic and radio fanatic. It seemed I was mostly taught by my mom. And yes, I don't take any shame in being a mama's boy. I loved drawing from the day I was able to hold a pencil and loved to tell stories.
I got saved when I was 10 years old. But in middle school I tried to fit in with the "cool" crowd. I soon lost my faith and had absolutely no idea what to believe. In the 7th grade, I went to a camp with my church and set my life right with God.
Later in the seventh grade I started reading comics. The first artist I could identify with was Todd Mcfarlane, this made me want to draw.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
I would like to be a penciller and inker for a certain company.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Todd Mcfarlane, Tony Moore, Sam Kieth, Frank Miller, Ryan Ottley, Jack (the king) Kirby, Rob Liefeld.
WELCOME!! Nathaniel....thank you for befriending me. I look forward to seeing you and your contributions here at the CCAS site.
I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular.
Feel free to post art/ comment on discussion and ask questions....I think not everyone is active like other websites, but everyone I have met here....has been easy to dialogue with. Not everyone respond quickly but went they can. I know I will answer when I have time..so if you msg me n I don't answer right after....be patient...I can once a month.
Welcome to the CCAS and thank you for posting samples of your work. I pray that you make some wonderful connections on this site. You will find some very gifted brothers and sisters in the Lord. May the Lord richly bless you in the knowledge of Him.
