Location:
Leesburg, FL
Gender
Male
Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:
Cartooning, Custom t-shirts, Christian t-shirts, Star Wars, and Coaching soccer. Also interested in publishing.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I was saved as a teen, but didn't really start living for the Lord until I met my wife. I saw her strong relationship with God, and wanted a closer walk like she had. My eyes were really opened once I started walking closer with God, and I became really disappointed with the content of most comics being published. I've taken that to heart, and would love to start my own publishing company to offer comics that are clean, but don't have to be for kids.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Comic Creator and illustrator (strip or comic book). Also Art teacher.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Stan Lee
Joe Kubert
John Romita Jr.
Rumiko Takahashi
Charles Schultz
Jeff Smith
Kazu Kibuishi
Frank Cho

Hello Nate,

I must apologize. I have not visited the CCAS website for a long time and wasn't aware you'd asked to be my friend! At any rate, hope you enjoy being a member of our group. God bless.

Billy

Hello, Mr. Wooten! Welcome to the Society! I pray that your publishing company becomes both a reality and a success! :)

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
