My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
From my "staff bio" when a member of Artists in Christian Testimony: Even though I was raised in a Catholic home, I did not feel comfortable in my own faith until I was a married Christian adult, making my own decisions without any outside influences. Having been blessed with a second chance at a normal life after successful brain surgery at age 26, I realized I needed to get my priorities straightened out - my faith in God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ, needed to be first and foremost. I no longer desired to become a famous, rich cartoonist ...like Charles Schulz and Johnny Hart (even though they did share their faith a lot in Peanuts and B.C., respectively). I wanted to use my God-given talent to help spread the Good News of the New Testament (as instructed to do in the Great Commission), like my artistic role model, Jack Chick (creator of Chick Publications, and the original artist for Chick cartoon tracts).
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Penciller or concept artist for a Christian company, full-time cartoon tract maker
Favorite Comic Creators:
Jack Chick, Charles Schulz, Johnny Hart, Don Martin, Jack Davis, Mort Drucker
Welcome to the CCAS. Thank you for sharing. You will find some very gifted brothers and sisters on this site. If you have sample of your work, I would encourage you to post them. May our gracious Lord and Savior richly bless you with the knowledge of HIs eternal love for you.
After adding my pieces, I realized that the tract ones aren't very big. I will reload them larger in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to view them bigger/easier at my blog (use the link to my site).
I probably wasn't here long enough my first time around to be remembered, but I was a member somewhere around 2012-2013 for a short time (can't recall the exact reason for leaving except for maybe not having enough time to keep up with it, thus feeling bad in continuing a membership). In my short time here, though, I remember connecting with many fellow Christian cartoon lovers and creators. One, in particular, that I was in contact a lot with is still listed as a member: Richard O. Jones - may he rest in peace.
But, now I'm back - feeling extremely blessed to be surrounding once again by my brothers and sisters in Christ, who want to use their God-given talents to be witnesses for Jesus.
