Coming up with a different angle for my project

I need Sunday School advice

I can't find a better place to post this, but I need advice pretty soon. I'm teaching Sunday School to a class of kids roughly 1st-6th grade age (I go to a very small church) This Sunday. The lesson is about sacrificial love, and I like to plan my own lessons. I've been reading about how we need to talk about the crucifixion and resurrection other times than just at Easter, and I thought this would be a good opportunity (the curriculum we're using has several Bible story suggestions for each…See More

Coming up with a different angle for my project

I've been really busy lately. I suspect things will slow down in the next few months. Anyway, I've been having an awful time coming up with case ideas, which has led me to think I might need to rework the premise of my series a bit. Currently, the main character is a private investigator for a law firm, but that's given me a difficult time coming up with case ideas. I've also come up with lots of characters for the police department and forensic team. Both of these have led me to rethink the…See More

First and foremost, I have a change of plans for Indy Pop Con. Turns out I'm going to be there on Saturday INSTEAD of Friday. I'm still dressing up as Abby, though (and no, my dad's not dressing up as Gibbs). If any of you guys are going to be there, please let me know.I also have a cosplay question. I've been watching the second season of "Space: 1999" on Hulu and am really enjoying it. I've found a character (Maya) from the show I really want to cosplay. There's just one problem: her makeup…See More

Just a few updates/ an emergency prayer request

I'm sorry I haven't updated much. I've been really busy. I'm currently on a camping trip and don't have access to wifi. I'll try to update when I'm back home. Anyway, there's an emergency situation with a family from my church (I can't go into the details for privacy reasons). Please keep them in your prayers.

Just a few updates

1. I went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" today. It was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Definitely check it out if you have a chance. It does have quite a bit of swearing and a few sexual references (one of which made sense in the story), but the positive outweighed the negative.2. I haven't had a surplus of writing time lately, so that's why there's been a lot of inactivity.3. I have been drawing more recently. I finally got a new Apple Pencil, but I've mostly been drawing fan art, which I tend to…See More

Finding a way around a leap in logic

I'm working on the second case in "Brianna Golde, P.I.," and I've come across a leap in logic. In the case, Brianna's older brother, Darias (who also had powers similar to Brianna's) is murdered, and Dalton ends up defending the man accused of murdering him. I've come across a leap in logic involving the autopsy. After a mutant whith shapeshifting powers changes back into a human being, animal DNA molecules remain suspended in their bloodstream. These molecules dissolve after a few days and are…See More

Fiction recommendations for an 8-9 year old

I have a cousin who's birthday is coming up in July, and I was thinking about getting him a book. Even though he's 8 right now, he really likes "The Hunger Games" (I'm not sure whether he likes the books or the movies or both). I've only read the first few chapters of the first book, but I suspect the reasons he likes the series is the whole "wilderness survival" element (he enjoys hunting and fishing with his uncle). My mom suggested getting him a Christian book with a "survival" element to…See More

I'm a newbie artist, so I won't have too much information on that, but I can pray for you if you need it. However, if you're looking for recommendations on good, appropriate manga (Japanese comics) to read, I may have some advice. I also do mixed media, so if you're interested in using collage for backgrounds, I may be able to help you, though I am just learning myself. I also love to hear prayer requests. I'm currently working on a sci-fi/mystery/romance comic with a manga-ish look, so any advice is greatly appreciated.
My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I was raised in a committed Christian family. I first began to get into anime at the end of eighth grade. Faith has been a slow process because of my Asperger's Syndrome (a form of Autism), but I'm getting there. I believe faith is a journey. From the time you first believe to the time you go to be with our Father in Heaven.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
I'd love to be a Christian manga artist.

Hey! Thanks for checking in. I am planning on doing so tonight or tomorrow, as I've got a lot of free time this week. I want to get some of my drawings as well as the cover of the first issue of my comic that's coming out on Comixology tomorrow. I will connect with or friend you when i make an account (if you're able to do that?)

Thanks for the added info on Paigeeworld. I think I will get on that site. Now that my comic is on a digital imprint, I can't post pages, but I'll at least post the covers for the issues that are coming out (which I'm excited about and think Paigeeworld folks who like Euromanga will appreciate)
