My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
Well, I was raise in a christian family (except for dad, he's the only one who's not a christian. But he just follow us when we go to church.). Unlike, those unbelievers who turn into christians, I was having a hard time being a true christian. I just follow what christian teachers, preachers and mom says.
Just do what I "had" to do. No experiencing how great really God is. But until grade 6,
still I'm having a hard time too, but I discipline myself to start reading my Bible.
Until 2nd yr High School I realized that I'm on fire for God. 2nd yr HS is the best yr in High School, 1st because it's the year I really got enthusiasm to serve the Lord, Eager to Learn more about God, I go Bible Studies both in school and church, and Church Fellowships. 2nd because as time went on I'm still on fire for God but not the same as I had in 2nd yr High. Now I'm in College 3rd yr. I just recently, get myself revive again, try to redirect my life again. I had plans and dreams for His Kingdom since I was in grade 6, but all of them slowly failed. And now I'm taking the risk to dream again.
For His Kingdom, to draw people to Him closer than before, Do things like never before, To Glorify God.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Since High School until now,

I want to be an all around comic maker,
meaning, I will be the:

Penciler, Colorist,Letterer and Writer

Except 2 things I REALLY need help from others,
those are : Publications and Marketing.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Well, I don't really refer to any artist or letter. Because....for example, a particular artist has 5 works and only 2 of them I like.
I look more on artworks than artists/creators.

But for the sake of this slot,
I think all those who work in DC Comics' BLACKEST NIGHT, IDW Publishing's Beast Wars: The Gathering, Armor Quest and Power Mark.

I also like Jeff Larson style of story telling.

Welcome to CCAS, Justin!

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)

Your current Board of Directors includes Eric Jansen (Secretary,)  and Kevin Yong (Treasurer.)  Both have served as President of the L.A. CCAS chapter.  Kevin is also the Assistant Central Mailer for ALPHA-OMEGA.  Also on the Board are Scott A. Shuford (Vice President) and Geoff Strout (Webmaster.)
