My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I've been a Christian since 2003 or so (the memory gets fuzzy). Christ has helped me through a great deal of doubt and depression, while strengthening me as a man, husband and father.
Once I matured enough in the faith, (around 2006, again fuzziness) I began earnestly working to create comic books that edified us instead of pandering to the worldly views.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Self-publishing my own christian based comics.
Favorite Comic Creators:
Mark Shultz, Frank Frazetta, Alex Raymond, Jim Lee (a very nice guy), Ivan Reis, Pete Tomasi (also a good egg), Chuck Dixon, Frank Cho, and several others I can't remember off the top of my head...
Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic, (Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)
To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...
My comic work is currently on hold though. I'm having to balance school and music (Christian Rap) at the moment, but we'll see what the Lord does with my stories.
I also like to see sequentials instead of pin ups all the time, because it brings allot more story and excitement. However, due to what I said above i have not really been contributing any art lately. I have some stuff from my drawing class, so maybe if i find a big enough scanner I'll put those up.
