My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
The Trinity is what enables me to bear my burdens and further my self-discipline. All that He gives me, both hard and easy, is a gift. (Please, Lord, a little more of the easy!) Special devotions include the Divine Mercy, the Sacred Heart, St. Joseph, and the Blessed Mother.
Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)
Writing 12 issues of Superman, done Chris Reeve-style. 'Nuff said. ;)
Favorite Comic Creators:
Joe Kelly, Mark Waid, Jeph Loeb, Marv Wolfman, George Perez, Ron Marz, Walt and Louise Simonson, Matt Wagner, Simon Furman, James Roberts, Nick Roche, Guido Guidi, Don Figuera, Jose Luis-Garcia Lopez, Dan Jurgens, J.M. Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic, (Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)
To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...
Hey Greg, welcome. I met Peter Laird and Norm Breyfogel at a Philly con. I met George Perez and Michael Turner at a Pitt Con years ago too, all nice guys. Write Superman stories, get an artist to draw them for a pitch at a convention. Have fun with it. I'm writing my own stories now for a writers contest this month. Having fun.
Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!
Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!
Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years! We have about five openings right now! Contact Eric Jansen for more info! (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members. Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
