Complete Comic Bible project started on DA

I've decided to start a DeviantArt group for the Complete Comic Bible project here:

If you want to help on the Complete Comic Bible project, please take the time to register at and join the project. I still plan to make a complete website just for this project when the time is right.

There will be a couple of… Continue

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life

Posted on October 18, 2009 at 8:30am 0 Comments

It makes me very sad to see so many people on the Internet on different sites not wanting the truth.

What is truth? Some people say that there is no such thing as truth - each person has his own reality. I wonder how that would stand in court ;D Obviously it's a cop-out just to get everybody to agree or feel at home with each other and shut out the Bible.

Even scientists aren't interested in the truth. And I'm not even talking about evolution or the spiritual. Nicola Tesla… Continue

Comic Bible art style

Posted on September 6, 2009 at 2:21pm 4 Comments

I think the style should be like Stan Lee - bold and colourful. I think it could work if someone does the backgrounds, someone else does the figures and someone else the colouring. Special attention will be given to wow effects like where Jesus starts to glow when Elijah and Moses are with Him on the mountain. It must look exciting and still be the Word of God.

Comic Bible Translation

Posted on September 6, 2009 at 2:19pm 0 Comments

I believe the Bible is the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth. But lots of people have to go to their Pastor/Priest/etc to have certain verses and words explained to them. It is good to ask your minister about the Word of God, but if it could have been explained in the Bible already in normal English it would help so much more. The translation in the Comic Bible Project would be a relatively simple process: It would be based on the King James - which I believe to be the best… Continue

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

I just uploaded the first page of the book Acts to show the direction I want to go with the comic Bible. I did this page before I had a PC so the text was all done by hand.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

Lot's of kids don't like reading. And for many people reading the Bible is a chore. But we all the Word of God, so I've had this idea to make a Comic Bible with a picture-box for each verse. Yes, the complete Bible verse for verse as a... comic book. Obviosly this project is too big for myself. So I setup a facebook group where anyone interested in taking part can contact me.
