Why I'm here

You can pretty much blame Kurt Kolka for inviting me here. I found an invitation to this site in my e-mail. I'll write a little more about myself after I'm done exploring this little site.

Much as it would be nice to be able to send Ralph Miley to the comics conventions with fresh Galen material, I feel it would be a waste of time, because comics doesn't enjoy the readership that it once did. Kids who a generation ago would read superhero comics ravenously are now leaving that medium for the computer-generated virtual realities of the Internet. Where they are going, I for one need to…

Galen? A superhero?

Kurt Kolka invited me to send in information about Galen the Saintly (mouse angel) to this guy who's writing a book called Armour of God: the Encyclopedic History of Abrahamic Superheroes. It's a complete repository of information on superheroes who are openly Christian, Jewish, or Islamic.

It's kinda kooky how these superhero freaks seem to accept Galen as a superhero. Galen doesn't accept himself as one. He's got a disdain for the practice of pummelling and destroying… Continue

What I've been doing these years...

I've been turning my back on you in shame and disgust with myself, treating you like some kind of skip tracer that has found me and has come to collect on a very long standing debt. When I think of the CCAS these days, I think of the unanswered question "When can I expect to sell copies of Galen the Saintly #2, #3, #4 yada, yada, yada, all the way up to #10 at the next San Diego Comic Con? The grandparents I've been talking to have been asking about this wonderful…

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

Great to hear from you, Raymond! Sorry to hear you are financially strapped right now... it seems to be a common position for most right now. All I can do is to let God provide... He does that, too!

Forgive my ignorance: are you still doing Galen or Angel Bear strips and where can I go to read them? Does Angel Bear still do appearances... I just re-found the pictures of his appearance at Grace Assembly of God in Spring City, Pa. I hope he's still active.

God's Very Best to you, Ray. Take Care, please.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
