Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

As with all evangelism or output of any kind, you can only create the output, you can't control what the receiver does with it. You should certainly ask for feedback to understand what they are doing with what you've delivered but you can't control the outcome. Be faithful in what you are doing, and check with the readers along the way for feedback and suggestions. Reach out to new readers by asking your current folks to help, or using the social networking sites or anything else at your finger tips. Just stay the course in what you feel called to do.

Yes, I drew those Spider-Man and Batman pages. I think every professional job I ever got was because of those Batman pages! (I had a really good week when I did those!) Thanks for the compliments! Eric

Thanks very much. We had a great day with our little family and some friends. Too much food as usual. :)

HI Erica,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS! If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site. We'll be making several announcements in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."

Welcome to the CCAS. There is going to be a comic book convention in the Tuscon area in early November. Don Ensign will be hosting a CCAS table. This is a great place to fellowship with other brothers and sisters in the Lord who love comics. You should post some of your work on this site. Looking forward to learning more about you. May the God of our Lord, Jesus Christ, richly bless you and the works of your hands.

I would love to see samples of your work, but unfortunately, the link you provided only leads to the main Gaia page. Do you have a more specific link that will lead to a page with samples of your art?

God bless you and reward your efforts with success.

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
