I was saved at the age of 5 when I asked my mom to pray with me to accept jesus. Since then I've done my best to walk the path Jesus has set before me. I began dreaming of being a cartoonist in the third grade and started to create my own characters and mini Christian comics.

it's great that you heard of Trinity Troopers. My ex and I did that book. I had a lot of help from Chris Yambar and his crew. I hope to put out others one day. maybe a cartoon. Later.

That's great Eddie! I wasn't sure if anyone that I didn't know had seen the TT comic. It was a great book to do. I hope to do more in the future because the characters are fun and interesting. I have a lot of ideas ans story lines that were started so I hope to tweak them and get them all done one day. I love the way that your art slide shows in the photo section on here. You have some very colorful and powerful pictures. I like the smooth textures and glowing brilliance of each one. The child reaching to the sky is powerful and exciting. It's a celebration! The turtle is very  nice and detailed. The tile placements are well done and show color gradiation and shadowing. The water appears to move as well. The red haired women appears desiring attention and looks like a Star Trek Captain Kirk girl. The blue laser creating the red cross is awesome. It puts a new meaning on having a cross burned in your yard. The red haired boy has a innocent quality to him. The brown haired girl appears waiting for her dad to go out and play with her or just waiting for a sandwich. Haha. Love the ball and hand too. Nice background effect that focuses attention on the main subject material. Great job.

Eddie! It's so great to see you here! Sometimes I come across the great yearbook comic covers sitting on my shelf and think of you! So you're not working with middle schoolers anymore and doing comics full time? That's absolutely amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing your latest work. God bless XD

Welcome to CCAS!  It's awesome to see you were saved so early and are living your dream job!  I wasn't save until the age of 25, but I suppose that still gives me plenty of time to walk with Christ!  Anyway, nice to see you here!

Hey Gary...I actually do remember the trinity Troopers....they kinda had Power Ranger styled costumes, right???  :)  Years back (before life got really hectic and crazy) I was compiling info on Christian Comics with the hopes of one day putting out a definitive guide (coffee-table book style) of Christian Comics and I remember that was on my list.  Good to hear from you and looking forward to connecting with new friends and hearing from old ones!  :)

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!
