My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)
I am a sinner. Of that there is no doubt. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. Church was as much a part of my life as school was. However, as many know, going to church doesnt make you a Christian. I tried to understand what it was to be a Christian. I fell into the same trap that so many Christians, young and old, fall into. I was a legalist. Not because I wanted to be, but because I knew nothing else. There was a way to dress, a way to talk, walk, and so on. I lived the life of a Christian, but much like the Ephesians of Revelations, I had lost my first love. I didnt truly know what it was like to be a child of God, or a lamp stand for Christ.

I married someone I believed to be a Christian woman. We had our son, Ian, and did our usual Christian routine. As my job pulled on me more and more, and my foundation in God slipped, I pulled away. I began to believe the lies of the world and became very selfish. I ran from God for the longest time. Feeling unworthy, unloved, and unwanted. The truth was, I had been unworthy from the start.

God delivered me into the hands of grace after more than a year of hiding. He had been working in my life all along, and I didn't truly see it until after he brought me back into his family. He blessed me with a Beautiful Godly woman, who shows the very scars I myself have. God gave me the chance to be a father again, not just to my own son, but to my new twin step-daughters and step-son.

Our love for Christ has grown by leaps and bounds. He has opened doors and closed others to lead me to where he has me today. He took my job from me, that gave me security and placed a wedge between us. He then said he wanted me to go after him. To make him #1. He has pulled me back towards my artwork, and is blessing it. I pray he will bless it and that I will be that beacon of light for my Lord Jesus. I want all these children who see me as an example of what a man should be, to also see me as what a Christian man should be.

Lord bless me in seeking Your will....Amen

Fave Quotes

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

Galileo Galilei

"I wonder how far Moses would have gone if he'd taken a poll in Egypt? What would Jesus Christ have preached if he'd had taken a poll in Israel? Where would the Reformation have gone if Martin Luther had taken a poll? It isn't polls or public opinion of the moment that counts. It is right and wrong and leadership--- men with fortitude and honesty, and a belief in the right that makes epochs in the history of the world".

Help Wanted: Card Game

Posted on September 9, 2009 at 6:24am 0 Comments

Several years back Fish Without Feet Graphic Design and another CCAS'er started an endeavor to create a card game. Some of you may have seen samples of what the cards will closely resemble if you have looked at my artwork on here or my website. Though it has many elements of Christianity, it will not be a bible thumping, preaching type of game. It is our attempt to give the people who love to game, something they dont have to question the morality of.

With that in mind,… Continue

God's Blessings

God has been blessing my...HIS business. I am continuing to get new work. What is even better, is that work is following with residual work. He has provided me with the program I had been wanting, as well as many other things as I continue my trek not just in the business but in school as well. This past week one of my returning customers gave me the chance to color a page for a pin up to be put into an ongoing IMAGE comic. Of course you can imagine how hard it was to not get excited on the… Continue

A Step of Faith

Posted on May 3, 2009 at 5:11pm 2 Comments

God is good in all he does. I have always struggled with doing things my way, or trusting on my own abilities first. Well I feel God has asked that take a step of faith. There are several items, including a scanner, (since mine went down) that I am going to need as I pursue his will in my life with my art and writing. The cost of these items reaches close to $1500. This is something I was planning to just save for and get on my own. And it may be that God still has that planned. But he has… Continue

The Ripple Effect

Posted on May 2, 2009 at 7:44pm 0 Comments

On a rather emotion filled ride home from getting my wife's children, God placed a rather powerful realization on my heart. My wife had went through a divorce several years ago. Her husband had made her and her kids the victims of adultery. The children do not know the events that took place of course, but none the less feel the effects. They were missing their daddy, and it made for a heart breaking hour trip home.

About halfway through the trip my wife leaned over to me and said,… Continue

What Makes You So Special?

Posted on May 2, 2009 at 7:43pm 0 Comments

Everyone knows the story of Jonah. However I think there is a much bigger picture, beyond the fish and Nineveh. In Jonah 1:1-2 it says, "The word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai saying, "Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.'" (NASB) In the first two verses God is very clear about WHO he is sending. He specifically called upon Jonah. The thing about this is that Jonah was neither the only prophet at the time, nor in… Continue

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

The card game looks like it could be awesome, it sounds like the only boundaries are your imagination! How is it progressing? I am interested in helping and I think my husband would be too we are both avid world of warcraft players, and I am a huge fan of the warcraft tcg. Do you have any more info that for what you are looking for?

Love your logo... I am looking for an artist who would want to team up with me to produce an epic graphic novel series I am writing, as well as other IPs I have developed. Would you be interested and if so, willing to produce 3 or 4 pages to use for submissions purposes? Of course with the agreement that when a publisher comes on board you would remain as the main artist. I am not in a position to pay anyone at this time.

I can tell you are quite diligent and quite prolific, but If you feel you can spare the time, we would love to have you on board. even if you don't join I would love to be a friend and a fellow brother in Christ.

God is good!!!! He is so awesome in the way he works. In years past I have drooled over the art programs to do my art. They have always been out of reach. Costing too much and making it really hard to do what it is I love to do and God calls me to do. Today my wife bought me as an early fathers day gift a program that is regularly $400-600 bucks and got it for less than 1/4 that price. This takes away a great chunk of that 1500 I was needing. I am so excited to see what my Lord has planned for the scanner I need and the new professional Waccom Tablet I would still like to get for my biz. Praise God to the ends of the earth for his faithfulness to his people!! Amen!!!
