Start Wars new episodes...some one needs to do it RIGHT

Posted on May 3, 2013 at 6:21am 1 Comment

Instead of rebooting I am thinking reboot the whole thing. The original characters are iconic and need to be preserved. Hollywood has a thing about making great concepts worse ie  focusing on JarJar Bings instead of Darth Mual, half of a movie centered on Ewoks instead of inner turmoil and balancing of the Force, Anakin chasing and wooing Padme instead of showing the scene where he kicks some much needed sandpeople's butt I..."thanks Obama!"

In short the SW camp should take a…

The Creative Process 2 - Flatting 101

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 12:03am 0 Comments

As I sit beside the still forests of Yavin 5, I can hear echos of the olde teachings of Jedi of Yore… Ok enough with the Star Wars Jedi stuff. But learning our craft feels like trying to crack the knowledge from A holocron or learning how to wield a light saber at times. I learned the hard way and want to share the next trick I learned. The much needed skill of flatting. So you have photoshop / gimp / manga studio / painter and the magic wand tool. So go flat! WRONG. Using the magic wand…

Over coming physical adversity in art

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 6:13pm 6 Comments

Today was one of those days where things looked like they were going to go right! I planned to side down and draw hands all of the late afternoon. I had the house to myself, so there would be very little disruptions. I finished my chores for the day (I cleaned the back deck a much needed task!). Then went for a short run to the gym and lifted weights and stopped for a take out on the way home. I checked the mail on the way home and just got AutoDesk Pro in the mail! I had my wings, my jazz,…

Hi ya, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic(Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+)

To complete the first book I need your help, as I am raising funds on Kickstarter. My passion is to get God's Word in full into the hands of young believer and unbelievers and comic lovers of all ages, in the hope they will come to really know God. Please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pledge to support this project...

If you are concerned about the accuracy and faithfulness to the text please read this Blog...

PS - Please add me as a friend here on CCAS

Aw man. Lol. Don't be so hard on Supes. It's hard to make classics nowadays. Yo I saw your interview with Justin and I enjoyed it my man. Happy Father's Day!!!! One of these days I'll get back into videogames with a vengeance. Right now I play the wii with my two boys. But I haven't gotten into the serious stuff. The kind that you call out for at your job. I am excited about the PS4 though, and terribly mad at xbox1. For the stunt that they are pulling.

Hey bro,

Someone just left a comment on your interview for my blog, and they really enjoyed it! I've included it below:

"I was truly blessed and inspired by the interview. I pray that the LORD continue to bless His sons and daughters in this area of ministry. I hope to see these types of comics in the mainstream, I know this would truly open up a whole new realm of witnessing."

Sir, great thanks for taking the job.  No deadline.  Kids will be reading R&RJiS 100 years from now.  You can copy something on there or use your imagination and come up with somethign noone has ever seen before.  I am just trying to give kids somethign fun and interesting to do.  I will send you the $30 when you shoot me the jpeg and then post it to the web site.  If you have someone else do some work I will send them $15 in addition to yours, like the coloring you mentioned.  God Bless.  Rich Collins
