Hey! :) I use Adobe Photoshop. But most of the time when I color my arts digitally, I use Paint Tool SAI.

How about you?

Thanks! I like your artwork. It has a very 'heroic' feel to it, if that makes any sense.

Ok great, and I'm looking forward to seeing the script, as well the final version of the pic. And on another note, periodically I interview Christian comic creators. If you're interested, e-mail me (rsquaredcomicz@gmail.com) with "Interview Information" as the subject, and I'll send you the questions. My latest interview was posted earlier today.

Hey D.L.,

Yeah Mel e-mailed me a draft of the piece, and I really liked it! With your permission, I would like to post the finished piece on my blog. If this is ok, then shoot me a link so I can reference you as the artist. I'll also let you know my thoughts on the final version.

As for your comic, sure thing. Once you have more info about the project, let me know which characters you would like to use and in what capacity, and we'll make it happen. If possible, I would like to be able to write the dialogue for those characters, just so I can get more practice scripting. Be blessed, and let me know.

Sorry for such a late reply, yes that is my work on the overcomers, however, if it's the older version that was completed four years ago and my style has improved and so has everything else (practice practice practice! lol) We are currently redoing the Overcomers series because of the movie, we are adding in the character designs that look like the actors in the film, the only character that doesn't resemble the actors in the movie is Father Rudolph.  Also, there has been story additions and a new introduction to the script- pretty much a brand new story.  I am uploading the preview first page of the new Overcomers graphic novel (60 pages).

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!
