Philippians 2:3 One of the Greatest Scriptures an Artist can learn from.

Philippians 2:3 When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves. Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others.

I think as artists sometimes we get so focus on our own goals and dreams and projects, we overlook meeting the needs of those around us, those who need us at that moment, like family, a wife, a husband, children, family, even a neighbor, or stranger.… Continue

hey Christopher...came across your art in your portfolio and wanted to mention how much i dig them.  I definitly see the McFarlane influence in your work.  I especially love the Batman piece!  NICE!  I was a mcFarlane FIEND back in the day and still to this day you can see small influences if his in my superhero stuff.  Hope to see more of your work, bro.

Ok no worries, I totally understand. The tracks I heard sounded pretty good. The remake of "One Mic" was really tight! Stay blessed and encouraged.

Both Arthur Adams and Michael Golden did some wonderful work for Marvel from the mid-80's through the 90's. Both are still around today, but only doing spot work here and there. Golden really made a name for himself on his work on (of all titles) the first Micronautes comics from Marvel...which at the time most dismissed because it was simply a way to market the toyline, but once you saw it couldn't put it down because of his artwork. He went on to do the same thing with another kind of strange title for Marvel at the time...The Nam. Adams really made a name for himself on his work on X-related books: X-Men, New Mutants etc.... from there you'd see him pop up on any number of titles.

Trust me...this is a huge complement!

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!
