Baptizm ( yeah I know its with an "s"

Hey my brothers and sisters in Christ,

just letting you all know that I closed a chapter in my life and opened up a new one. I got water baptized again today. It was great. The first time was good, but this one was great. You see when I got baptized the first time I took it serious, but like all baby Christians you lose focus and make mistakes and second guess yourself in your walk, and that led to sins to creep back into my life, the sins that I had left to die in the water some 9 years… Continue

THIS IS GREAT!!!

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

0A

In Florida , an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and

Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case

against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument

was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case

was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation

by the lawyer, the… Continue

Megacon- not so Mega

Hey Everyone and God bless

Saturday Feb. 28 2009 MEGACON!!!!! I don't know, but for me this show has been lacking year after year. Why do I go? Well for one I am a New Yorker and have gone to so many cons that I've seen some good cons and some bad ones, but for this to be MEGACON it should be huge right? Wrong! To me they get the same artist and writers every year and really don't go for the movers and shakers in the industry. I went for 2 artist and to meet 2 talented brothers in Christ… Continue

Yes, just look for Mike Bullock on FB. Right now, I have an avatar of Joey from LTB eating spaghetti. Should be easy to spot. ;)

Charles, thanks for the well wishes. I hope you and your fam have a very blessed Thanksgiving as well. I've just been knocking away at it little by little. My goal is to do something towards the book everyday, even the small stuff like finding photo references or sketching in the sketchbook. Every little bit helps to make me feel like I'm being productive. Oh, I've been trying to post once a week on the blog too. Gotta spread God's word!

God Bless!

Hi Charles. Thanks for the welcome. I will try to get some work uploaded ASAP. My profile picture is one sample of some of the vector art I have done.

Thanks Charles! Yup, that was me...It was difficult to update and Deviantart was so much more convenient so I shut it down. Maybe someday I'll bring it back...This seems to be a pretty cool place for Christian artists to congregate...I just recently joined and I've already gotten a decent number of adds. Anyway, thanks for picking up my work and for the kind words!

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)

Your current Board of Directors includes Eric Jansen (Secretary,)  and Kevin Yong (Treasurer.)  Both have served as President of the L.A. CCAS chapter.  Kevin is also the Assistant Central Mailer for ALPHA-OMEGA.  Also on the Board are Scott A. Shuford (Vice President) and Geoff Strout (Webmaster.)
