As a kick, theres artist that I would love to mention about and not just visual artist but artist all around and is Christian. I do love secular music too, but I love that Christin has its plac too.

Bob Luedke said… thanks for your kind words...and yes, comic style artwork does indeed have it's place and there are many people who are drawn to it, just like any other style of artwork.

It's good that you got to go help out, Carissa. I've been praying for those people a lot. Many prayers have been answered... praise God.
Thank you for commenting on my blog entry. That was nice of you to take time out to do that. I watched both videos you linked. The buildup on the photoshop was interesting. The Artrage video was a nice painting also. If you get a chance, check out the link in the Bob Ross and Gimp blog. My wife and I were amazed at the result. The way that person did build up, then expertly used the smudge tool like a scrape tool was amazing. Gimp hasn't crashed on me in a very long time... if it did every time I played with it, I'd probably detest it as much as you do, lol.
Brian Jeffrey Durham said… The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011
In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.
Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”
