Thank you for the friend request.  I haven't been as active as I would like to have been.  I'm almost done with school for the year and ready to get into some serious creating greatness.  I have several graphic novel stories and will want to look for some Christians who can seriously put some stuff out.  I'm ready it two weeks to start producing and going for it.  I look forward to looking for some Christians to bond with and to produce.  Seriously I am a talented story creator.  Not necessarily  a great script producer, which I will need some serious help with and hopefully one of you will mercifully help me grow and change in this way.  Also, as an artist, i feel that I have an understanding of how to create a page and structure a page much less an entire story.  I think I might be able to tell my first story in 50 pages.  That is my goal.  Any larger and it becomes too expensive to print, and any smaller it could just be a comic book (which there is nothing wrong with a comic book mind you, its just that it is not my goal right now to produce a monthly or regular comic, not that I'd turn anything down, I'm just not looking for it.) so that is my thinking.  SO I'm trying to get warmed up but right now i have so much homework and want to keep my GPA up.  I know, a forty two year old in school.  Hey, after losing my life eleven years ago, and after eight years of recovery, I decided to go back to school and get my degree.  Well,  my health is preventing that, but I'm not going to let it stop my creative ability to produce.  I have at least twelve good stories right now all of which can be a graphic  novel.  "let's go..."

Recieved your friend request and nice work. Im not really into this color coloring (as in using black as a shade), but its still good work for those audience who are into it. It reminds me of all those american comic put together, a pure sense of grit and street like work.

Hi, Bob! We met at WWChi this summer, where I discovered Eye Witness. Looks like Eye Witness is up to #4 now, congratulations! You remember, we talked about Indie Comics Magazine - #1 is coming in January's Previews comic catalog. Best story and art from indie creators. #2 and #3 are filling up! We have a great mix of creators telling 8 page stories. Looking to do a Faith issue eventually, with all this talent in Christian comics. http://indiecomicsmagazine.com

CCAS at Comic-Con

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011

In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.

Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)

Your current Board of Directors includes Eric Jansen (Secretary,)  and Kevin Yong (Treasurer.)  Both have served as President of the L.A. CCAS chapter.  Kevin is also the Assistant Central Mailer for ALPHA-OMEGA.  Also on the Board are Scott A. Shuford (Vice President) and Geoff Strout (Webmaster.)
