Making fixes to AN ACT OF FAITH: THE SWORD OF EDEN is time-consuming! Got me two-hundred plus more pages to go.

As previously noted, in the panel on the left, I gave Gloomtooth a more traditional-looking thought balloon. Before now, I think that I was lazy with my creating thought balloons.

The panel on the right was completely redrawn. I was not happy with the original panel. In Rebecca’s word balloon, I changed (the original version's…

I was interviewed by @Graphically Christian. The interview is (again) posted online. We chatted about AN ACT OF FAITH: THE SWORD OF EDEN, my career in comics, and Christian entertainment (or the lack thereof).

Hi Al, I know you like Christian comics so I know you'll love The Word for WORD Bible Comic, (Unabridged, historically accurate graphic novel of the Bible with a high view of scripture. For ages 15+) please check it out at the KS page, it's going well but I still need lots of backers so I hope as a CCAS member you'll please pray on pledging to support this project...

Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement I got a lot of work to do on the website, making videos, changing my domain name, make it's content bigger. I really hope I encourage people to purchase christian comics and up the sales of every creators hard work.

I almost finished with my graphic novel. But, I’m undecided about distributing to Christian bookstores. I HAVE decided NOT to deal with comics’ Direct Market (which I used to deal with in the past).

Who should I look to in regards to distributors in the Christian bookstore market? I believe there are Anchor (church supplies?), Spring Arber, and STL, and CBD (Christian Book Distributors). Are there any others? Who should I avoid? Who should I contact first?

I’m also concerned about returnability and whether I need to purchase a bar code or not.

Any thoughts?

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday, I received my comp copy of ARCHIE: 50 TIMES AN AMERICAN ICON (which includes my Hero Initiative ARCHIE #600 "original cover"). The book is offered in both hardcover and softcover. You can find ordering info here at the Hero Initiative blog (don’t know if html codes work here, or not):

http://heroinitiative.blogspot.com/2011/03/archie-50-times-american-icon-book-now.html

The Hero Initiative (a worthwhile charity in the comic book industry) did their "original cover" project with Archie Comics. This project used 50 artists to illustrate original covers for ARCHIE #600 (the "Archie Gets Married Part 1: The Proposal" issue). Each comic book was auctioned off to generate funds for the Hero Initiative.

The Hero Initiative (God bless them) had asked me to draw one of the ARCHIE #600 original cover comics, and I was very happy to contribute. The front cover has the Shield reacting to Archie and Veronica’s wedding announcement. The back cover is my tribute to Dan DeCarlo (the creator of Josie and the Pussycats) with my interpretation of Josie. This is the first time (I think) that I ever drew Josie. Anyway, I felt like sharing because my Josie (and the Pussycats) back cover is kinda rock n’ roll. Plus, tipping-the-hat to Dan DeCarlo seems like the right thing to do, especially with such an important project as this one.
