She does, and her abilities are presented as both a blessing and a burden. she has to overcome.

Cool idea with the scars. I've never thought about it, but that makes sense, considering people get stretch marks if they grow too fast. She transforms into animals, right?

The reason she has scars is because they're left over from her transformations.
