Well, Bob, you've accomplished your goal. And that goal is especially foundational for cover art, posters, splash pages, full-pagers and the like. To fill an entire page (or entire story) of comics with such images lays a bit of a burden on the reader, though...because it gets in the natural way of the flow of the narrative. It would be like trying to write every sentence in a story as an exclamation. This doesn't negate the need to grab readers with each panel...it just changes the way we grab them.

God bless your day.

Your brother,

Mark Ammerman

Thanks Richard. That's an interested way to put it "ability to capture and frame a dramatic moment," 'cause really when I think about it, that's always been my goal with illustration...even as a youngster, being able to illustrate something that had power, movement and weight.

It's always a thrill to hear that someone recognized aspects about what one is trying to do!

Captivating piece of work, Bob. There's a powerful simplicity to this image. Great use of color...great sense of movement.
As I've looked through your "photos", I am very impressed by your ability to capture, illustrate and frame a dramatic moment. Your use of color is outstanding. Wish I had time to make comics with you!
