Alpha Omega Con V will Saturday, September 22nd at the First Baptist Church in Downey, CA 90241. The address is 8333 2nd St. The hours are from 10am-6pm.
Hi Natalie! This thread is a bit old--we have been doing the Alpha-Omega Con for four years already! The next one is set for Sept. 22, 2018! We are trying a new location, a big church in Downey, CA. Stay tuned for the exact address and other details!
The text "Alpha Omega Con"? I searched for it on the home page for the purpose of to copy and paste into text. I even looked in the fine print at the bottom. I had to dig around to finally find that text, on the Volunteer page, and on the Registration page.
The orange on blue graphic on every page that says "Alpha Omega Con," is an image that can be copied and pasted as an image. To paste as text, one must look elsewhere. The orange on blue causes blurring. Black on white would be conducive to vision, like words in a word balloon.
The Alpha Omega Con website is up and running. Many thanks to the Con Director Holly Knevelbaard for her outstanding effort. You can visit it at www.alphaomegacon.com.
@ Bryan- You can email us at alphaomegacon20@gmail.com and I can an application to you. It would be great to see you again.
@ Bryan- The cost for a table is $50 by April 30, 2014. It is $75 beginning May 1st. We haven't set a deadline.
I'm excited to see the guests that are lined up for The A-O Con! Great job to whoever is posting up on Tumblr. I'm a 6-7 hour drive away in NorCal...so I'm torn at wanting to help organize or actually setup a table for Spirit Knight. Do we have an idea yet cost and deadline for signing up for table?
There have been some changes in the convention The term "Comic Con" is trademarked by the San Diego Comic Con and required that we get permission to use the term, so we changed the name. September 27th was the same day at the Long Beach Comic Expo and so it was decided that we should not share the date with another local comic book convention. We decided on a name that was not trademarked and a date that didn't conflict with any major local events.
The Alpha Omega Con
Saturday, September 20th, 2014
Redeemer Church La Mirada
15151 Cordova Rd.
La Mirada, CA 90638
Show 10am-6pm
The name has been selected. It is The Christian Comic Con. The date had to be changed because in conflicted with another local convention, Long Beach Comic Con. The place is still the same, but the date is now tentatively September 20th, 2014

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years! We have about five openings right now! Contact Eric Jansen for more info! (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members. Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
