Robert,
300dpi means 300 Dots per Inch. Meaning how many dots there are in an inch. Higher the dots means higher the resolution.
Also I have had my art work scanned in the past and it can get pricey quick! In the past flatbed scanners cost a bunch which put them out of the price range for most people. Brother just released a large format 11x17 scanner, printer thats way affordable. I actually just got mine and got it set up a few days ago. You should check it out. Right now its $155 on Amazon. Hope this all helps.

I posted this elsewhere, but I need info. I do not have a scanner (as of right now that works. I will be penciling about 30 pp of a comic and will need to get it scanned in somewhere so I can get them inked via photo shop or Corel. I was thinking of going to Kinkos to see if they can do it. I need to know "everything" because I am absolutely clueless about this stuff. I have seen something called 300dpi? Also, what size flash drive should I have them put 30-32 penciled pages on?
Anything you think I should know, please fill me in.
Thanks,
Robert
The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011
In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.
Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”
