Christian Comic Arts Society

A Network of Christian Fellowship for Comics Fans, Pros, and Amateurs

Hello everyone,

After much deliberation and prayer, I've finally decided to make available my amateur comic project, "Doekthar: Lord of Pain".  It is a little less cheesy than the name suggests (the name is something of an inside joke that slowly grew over the years into this comic).  A quick description would be a sci-fi story dealing with a character who reluctantly is brought into war fighting for humanity's survival.  All the while dealing with the idea that no amount of effort or technology can separate a person from their sins.  The comic does have suggested use of language ($#@*), violence, and a lot of lousy jokes.  Beyond that, nothing inappropriate.

God willing, chapters will be added each Friday.  It will continue in this format until completion.  I'm a one man show, and admit that I don't know what I'm doing, but am going to do it anyway.  It will take some time, but eventually the gospel will be presented.  We'll see how it goes...

The comic can be found at https://dlopcomic.myportfolio.com Let me know what you all think.

Enjoy and God bless!

-Justin

Thank you Edgar!  I took a quick look at some of your projects and there are some really cool ideas.  Sorry for such a late response, but I've sent you an email about sketch art.  Thank you very much for taking a look at the comic!

Congratulations for taking that step of faith and putting your project out there.  Looking forward to seeing you grow as you continue your creative journey.

Thank you Ralph! It is uncharted territory, but we'll see how it goes.
