A Network of Christian Fellowship for Comics Fans, Pros, and Amateurs
My pastor/rabbi, Jonathan Cahn, has written a book based on a series of messages he gave in the wake of 9/11 over several years. The e-book was released in September, but the actual paperback novel was just released today. He outlines the facts of the earlier events and sermons through a fictional story.
The book has risen to #11 on Amazon's best seller list (from about 1,000 just the other day) and is gaining momentum.
The story (as the earlier messages) reveal an amazing series of parallels between what's going on with America and what happened in Israel in the time of Isaiah.
In the first months after 9/11 both Rabbi Cahn and Pastor David Wilkerson were led to the very same verse in Isaiah, verse 9:10, which reads...
"The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars."
I could say lots more, but having read the book and heard the messages, I just want to recommend it to anyone who might be interested. It's hard to put down once having started.
Blessings,
Lee

The 'Spirituality in Comics' Panel from San Diego Comic-Con 2011
In comics, movies, and even Broadway musicals like “The Book Of Mormon”, spiritual themed work seems to be unexpectedly coming from the least religious of sources.
Panelists including SERGIO CARIELLO (The Action Bible), RUSSELL DALTON (Marvelous Myths: Marvel Superheroes and Everyday Faith), BUZZ DIXON (Serenity/Hits & Misses), and MIKE SHIELDS (Blue Blazes) discuss how a new generation of comics and pop culture are exploring timeless truths and also address the question “Is Mass Media Our New Church?”
