Christian Comic Arts Society

A Network of Christian Fellowship for Comics Fans, Pros, and Amateurs

Hello all, my name is Shannon Gilmour and I am an author and I also help mentor individuals online through bible study and outreach.  I joined today, hoping to gain insight and knowledge about art and comic design.

When I first started writing seriously over 15 years ago, my first two manuscripts were children's books to which I also illustrated. I have YET to have them published as for me, showing people my art work is not so much intimidating as maybe I feel vulnerable.

Aside from these manuscripts, I am wanting to perhaps create comic book characters ( Manga type?)  to help expand my readership audience.  So if you don't mind if I just look around this site for a while and see what you all are up to and get some helpful hints and tips. I'd greatly appreciate it. THANKS!

Have a lovely day/ evening all. Many blessings to you!

Welcome to the site.  It's not very busy around here, but there are some good people.

Welcome to the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS) Online Network!

Did you know that CCAS has monthly meetings in the Los Angeles area? Contact Eric Jansen for more info!

Also, members of CCAS have produced the APAzine ALPHA-OMEGA for over 25 years!  We have about five openings right now!  Contact Eric Jansen for more info!  (This is a 30-member active-participation-only photocopied magazine for Christian writers and artists who submit a "trib" every other month for fun, fellowship, and critiques by other members.  Between postage and your photocopying costs, you might pay anywhere from $5 to $25 per issue.)
